Origin

PitchBlackShop was founded in 2023 by two cousins, Quentin and Léo. Driven by the same desire to create something together, this company isn't just a single entity. It embodies who we are and the values we hold dear. We wanted to combine our complicity and our desire to build a world together, far removed from the "Produce for Profit" business model. We wanted to offer impeccable customer service. After encountering numerous mediocre-quality garments, launching into design was a no-brainer. Despite our lack of experience in textiles, we learned everything we could to conclude that it was possible to offer quality, "almost" perfect ethics. We continued to learn and grow to offer you what you'll find in the store today.

An "almost" perfect ethic

As you will have understood, we wish to act with complete transparency and be at peace with our conscience regarding what we produce.

The textile industry is very complex. We have therefore been forced to make concessions on certain points in order to be able to sell and be sustainable. We are always 100% transparent with our customers about our practices, the origin of our products, and our manufacturing methods. However, depending on what we want to offer, it is not always possible to be perfect. In Europe, most cotton-based products are imported from Asia or America, which is unavoidable, otherwise we risk selling overpriced items.

Furthermore, our 'Undye Project' collection, based on bleaching, is not part of an ecological approach. However, it is imperative that we limit the impact of this production as much as possible.

Mais c'est aussi pour proposer à un plus grand nombre des articles originaux pour des cadeaux ou bien pour ceux qui aimeraient se lancer dans un projet personnel. Montrer ce dont nous sommes capable, est essentiel pour toucher le plus grand nombre.

FAQ

  • Everything that can be produced in-house will be. We try to outsource as little as possible to ensure product quality.

    The clothes aren't designed by us. We go through several suppliers and choose the product that best matches what we want to create on them.

    PrintMyTransfer is our official subcontractor for all things printed.

  • The brands of unprinted clothing vary greatly depending on what we're looking for. Thickness, fabric type, colors, and many other options aren't available in a single product. We can therefore offer a wide variety of products thanks to our suppliers.

  • Delivery times depend on the type of delivery you choose when confirming your order.

    We have 2 main methods.

    The standard home delivery option via La Poste. Delivery takes approximately 2-3 days in mainland France and an additional 1-3 days for more remote European countries.

    "Relay Point" delivery is much more economical than home delivery, especially for European countries, and just as fast as home delivery. Please note, however, that we cannot give you the choice of relay point due to technical limitations of the site. By default, we will choose the authorized "Chronopost" relay point closest to your address.

  • We are not obligated to accept refunds, exchanges, or returns. Each item is produced as a one-of-a-kind piece and will therefore be unsaleable thereafter.

    Of course, if we made a mistake on the order we will offer you the possibility of exchange (at our expense) or refund.

    Otherwise, you made a mistake in the size, you did not collect your package and it was returned to us, a resend will be possible at your expense.

  • We offer several payment methods: PayPal and credit card via Stripe. These two services are used by most websites and are 100% reliable. We've never had any issues with these payment methods.

  • If you are close to our workshop, picking up your order on site is entirely possible, this limits costs but also transport.

    You can also pay in cash when collecting your order.

  • Cash payment is available when you pick up your order in person. Of course, we're counting on you. Don't forget to pick up your order!

  • A tracking number was given to you when your order was confirmed for shipment. You will need to go to www.laposte.fr or Chronopost.com and enter your tracking number.

  • No. We use bleach simply to remove the color from the garment. It is then neutralized with hydrogen peroxide to reverse its effects. The fabric is thoroughly washed before shipping.

    We still recommend washing it upon receipt for an extra level of security.
