Information
essential

no gradients
Gradient colors are a no-no for embroidery. While there are ways to simulate this effect, it won't be a true gradient. You'll need to use a specific technique to get close, but the result is generally not what you'd expect and quite complex to achieve.

les petits détails
In embroidery, as in sewing, we work with thread, which is an element of fixed thickness, generally 0.4 mm. Some elements of the proposed designs may be too small or too concentrated. In addition, the mesh of the support is important to consider. The looser and wider it is, the less easy it will be to create the desired details.
Often, it's the text and certain fonts that pose a problem. Too small a font size and the text becomes illegible and unpleasant.
For patterns, having jagged or uneven edges simply won't stand out, so some modification and adaptation work will be necessary beforehand.

its position and size
To hold the fabric in the machine, an embroidery frame is used. The fabric will be pinched around the entire edge of the area to be embroidered and stretched. This means that some areas are inaccessible or difficult to access, such as pockets and garment edges.
The same goes for the maximum embroidery size. This will be determined by the largest hoop the machine can accommodate. Additionally, the price will be higher because a large design will take a long time to embroider.

Limit the number
of colors
The fewer colors there are in a design, the easier it is to achieve and most of the time the result is more aesthetic.
Too many colors will mean too many shapes and layers. This will make the design rigid and therefore less comfortable to wear.

A creation
artistic above all
Embroidery remains an artistic field. Some designs will not be accepted because the programming requires a highly developed technique and artistic flair, or they simply do not fit within our preferred field. We absolutely want to give your design the best possible result rather than creating something mediocre.
For example, animals and anything with fur require very specific expertise. Shapes are defined by the colors of the fur, which makes creation difficult.

Embroidery offers a much higher quality finish than flocking or ink printing. However, there are technical limitations that can sometimes be overcome. It's always best to avoid a design that includes the points discussed below to achieve a more aesthetically pleasing final result that's more faithful to the original idea.
